Woman drives car into fence at Sheepshead Bay IHOP

A woman accidentally stepped on the gas and drove into a metal fence at the Sheepshead Bay IHOP Thursday morning, according to police.
The black Mercedes was parked in the back of the IHOP parking lot. Police told News 12 that two people were in the car and the airbags went off.
Both women received minimal medical attention and did not need to go to the hospital.
News 12 spoke to the passenger of the vehicle, who said a friend was driving her car. She said the car meant everything to her husband, who died just last week.
In tears, she told News 12 she does not know how the accident happened and expressed devastation about the damage.
