The Domino Square Ice Rink is now open to the public, with waterfront views of the Manhattan skyline and family friendly ice skating options through the end of March 2025.
The rink is the latest attraction to open at Domino Square, utilizing the waterfront area that was opened back in 2018.
The 7,000-square-foot rink saw skaters of all ages and skill levels taking to the ice, with staff on site offering impromptu lessons and even skating stands for younger children to hold on to while in the rink.
"My advice – smile. Be happy, don’t be afraid to fall,” said attendee Michelle Fried who was on the ice with her husband and two young children.
Organizers say the turnout has been strong since the park opened, and they hope it can continue to grow in popularity without getting too crowded.
"We took all the best parts of other rinks across the city, and I think we got the best of all of them here," said Domino Park Director Michael Lampariello.
The rink will be open weekdays from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. and weekends/holidays from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Every Wednesday, the rink will offer family days with half-priced admission and skate rentals.
