A West Haven man is facing charges for having illegal guns in his vehicle in Norwalk, police say.
Fredrick Pate was stopped by police on Westport Avenue just before 11 a.m. Monday.
Police said the vehicle was unregistered and uninsured.
They say Pate also had a suspended driver's license.
During a search of the vehicle, officers recovered a magazine loaded with seven rounds that was stolen from Ohio.
A handgun loaded with 15 rounds was also located in the truck.
An investigation determined Pate was the subject of two separate protection orders which prohibit him from possessing firearms.
Pate's charges include possession of a stolen firearm, carrying a pistol without a permit, negligent storage of a firearm and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.
He is expected to appear in court March 16.
