Storm Watch Team meteorologists are tracking potentially heavy rainstorms expected to arrive in New Jersey by Tuesday night.
Meteorologist Justin Godynick says that the heaviest of the rain is expected Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.
Monday’s overnight hours will be mostly cloudy but dry. Temperatures will cool into the low-40s.
Tuesday will start off mostly cloudy, with daytime highs around 55 degrees. Rain is expected to arrive by dinnertime. Godynick says that rain is expected to get heavier overnight. Overnight lows will dip into the upper-40s.
Wednesday morning is expected to see heavy rain and the possibility of some thunderstorms. The rain is expected to linger into the afternoon with some on-again, off-again showers. High temperatures will be in the mid-50s. Overnight lows will dip to around 46 degrees.
Thursday is also expected to see rain in the morning, followed by mostly cloudy skies by the afternoon. Daytime highs should reach the mid-50s. Overnight lows will be around 49 degrees.
