Passaic Valley Water Commission will make repairs to a 51-inch transmission main starting the week of Feb. 27. The water main provides water service to the areas of Elmwood Park, Garfield, Harrison, Kearny, Lodi, Lyndhurst, North Arlington, and Wallington.
These repairs are anticipated to be completed on or about Monday, March 6. PVWC says during this period, water will be provided from a different water source. This may produce discolored water and/or lowered water pressure at any time while the work is being performed. PVWC says customers are encouraged to check that their water is clear before washing clothes.
If you experience low pressure or discoloration, call PVWC's customer service department at 973-340-4300.
