Local police have issued warnings telling residents that snow igloos can collapse without notice

Brick Township police are warning parents not to let children build snow igloos in the aftermath of the blizzard.

Officials say the structures are not stable and can collapse without warning.

They are also concerned that igloos are sometimes built in areas where plows operate. They said that creates added danger for children playing in the snow.

Police advised families to keep kids clear of snow piles and areas where plows are still active.
