News 12 Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Michele Powers says milder air returns to the tri-state area this week, but several weather systems will bring rain or even some wintry mix our way.
PRESIDENTS DAY: Dry day, but rain showers move in 4-6 p.m., mainly in NW NJ. This will then move SE into the night. Highs will be in the 50s, lows will be above freezing in the 30s.
TUESDAY: A shower both early and late in the day but mostly dry. Highs 55-60.
WEDNESDAY: A mostly dry day, with rain showers late day and into the night. Highs will be 45-50.
THURSDAY: Early showers. Then, gradually increasing sunshine from south to north. Highs will be 65-75 south of Interstate-195, with 55-65 readings north of there.
FRIDAY: A possible daytime shower. Turning windy from the NW. Highs will be around 50, but falling during the day.
SATURDAY: It looks like a snow/sleet/freezing rain mix turns to rain as the day goes on. Highs will be 35-40.
SUNDAY: Mostly cloudy. Likely dry. Highs 45-50.
