A major snowstorm did not stop two Passaic County families from teaming with their local police department to collect toys for children this holiday season.
While out covering the storm, News 12’s Brian Donohue happened across the Saraceni and Struble families and their joint Christmas light display on Burnside Place in the Haskell section of Wanaque.
The families have partnered with the Wanaque Police Department to collect toys for the community for the holiday season. They have been collecting donations for the past few weeks from the dozens of people who have come out to see their impressive Christmas light setup.
Wanaque police officers will begin handing out the donations to 300 local children this upcoming Saturday.
