Six people were arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated following Belmar’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Sunday, according to Wall Township police.
As a part of Wall Township's drunk driving enforcement campaign, police say they increased proactive patrols in anticipation of the annual parade.
Police say 26-year-old Roger Corrales III, of Manahawkin, was arrested after a motor vehicle stop on State Highway 71. Corrales had an active warrant for his arrest out of Ocean Township.
Following an investigation into a motor vehicle incident on State Highway 71 near East 4th Avenue, authorities say 58-year-old Gary Negra, of Brielle, was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
According to police, after conducting a motor vehicle accident investigation on Curtis Avenue near Ellsworth Street, Rebecca Riker, 40, was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
They say Riker, of Farmingdale, was additionally charged with two counts of assault by auto, endangering the welfare of a child and possession of open containers of alcohol in a motor vehicle.
Following an investigation into a suspicious vehicle near Wall Township police headquarters, police say Paige Finnegan, a 20-year-old from Middletown, was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
Christopher Brown, of Belmar, was arrested for driving while intoxicated after he was pulled over on State Highway 71 near 16th Avenue by Lt. Miles Shanklin, police say. The 43-year-old was processed and released in accordance with John's Law.
And 32-year-old Brittany Seixas, of Delran, was also arrested for drunk driving after a motor vehicle stop on State Route 138 near New Bedford Road, according to police. She was processed and released in accordance with John's Law.
