A Villanova University football player from Camden is facing sexual assault charges.
University officials say that D’Hani Cobbs assaulted another Villanova student in December. They say that once the school learned of the incident, officials launched an investigation and notified the Delaware County District Attorney’s Office.
Cobbs was arrested on Jan. 30.
Sexual violence of any kind is not tolerated on our campus and we are committed to both supporting the victim and fostering a safe environment for all of our students,” Villanova officials wrote in a statement.
Cobbs faces numerous charges, including rape and sexual assault. He is due in court on Feb. 12.
