The Hoboken Office of Emergency Management says a water test will be performed in the city during the overnight hours.
Veolia Water will be performing a test shutdown from 2 a.m. until 6 a.m. in the area of Eighth and Grand streets.
The test will impact buildings on Grand Street between Seventh and Eighth streets, buildings on Eighth Street between Clinton and Adams streets and buildings on Ninth Street between Clinton and Adams streets.
Veolia Water says the test is part of the ongoing infrastructure replacements happening around the city.
“This brief service shutdown is done to monitor the mains on that block in preparation for scheduled work in that area,” a spokesperson for the company told News 12.
Impacted customers have been notified.
