Rutgers University says that the deaths of two students on campus in recent days are not considered to be suspicious.
The latest death occurred Monday, when the body of sophomore Kyle Gotchel was found outside the Hardenbergh Hall dorm on the New Brunswick campus. Details on the how the death occurred have not been released, but authorities say foul play isn't suspected. Gotchel was a 2016 graduate of West Deptford High School.
Campus police are leading the investigation into this death.
The Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office is also reviewing the death of graduate student Akash Taneja, who was found dead Friday on the school's Busch campus in Piscataway.
Authorities say that death is not considered suspicious either, but they have declined further comment on the ongoing investigation.
