Rocky Balboa, a 6-year-old pittie at Eleventh Hour Rescue in Succasunna, has been saved twice from euthanasia and is now hoping to find a safe and loving "furever" home.
"Rocky is the kind of dog who knows no strangers. He’s friendly, social, and ready to leave the tough chapters of rural Tennessee behind and start fresh in New Jersey with people who will keep him for life," according to Rocky's description on the Eleventh Hour Rescue website.
Volunteers at the rescue say Rocky likes the simple things in life: a comfy place to nap, cuddles and treats. He moves a bit slower these days, and volunteers have him on a weight loss program.
Rocky is good with cats, dogs and children. He knows some commands, but he's housebroken and working on some basic training. He's up to date on vaccinations and has been microchipped.
