A powerful storm Tuesday night caused thousands of power outages across New Jersey.
The storm left tens of thousands of customers in the dark at the height of the storm. Utility crews were out on Wednesday making repairs to restore the power. But the companies say that it may be a struggle to reach some areas due to the damage.
"The wind is going to continue, so the bucket trucks may not be able to get up there because of the weather,” says PSE&G spokesperson Rebecca Mazzarella.
"Where we really get concerned is when we see [storms] back to back like this, is that saturated soil. It does increase the likelihood that trees can uproot and come down,” says JCP&L spokesperson Chris Hoenig.
The News 12 Storm Watch Team is tracking another storm that is expected to bring rain and flooding to the Garden State Friday evening.
