TSA discovers loaded handgun with 7 bullets inside man’s backpack at Newark airport

A man from Philadelphia is accused of trying to bring a .40 caliber handgun loaded with seven bullets loaded in Terminal C over the weekend at Newark Liberty International Airport.

A man from Philadelphia is accused of trying to bring a .40 caliber handgun loaded with seven bullets loaded in Terminal C over the weekend at Newark Liberty International Airport.
According to Transportation Security Administration officers, the handgun was found stuffed inside a backpack at the security checkpoint. The officers caught the handgun as it entered the checkpoint X-ray machine
It’s the second time a gun was found this month at the airport.
Transportation Security Administration officers have already found as many guns this year as all of last year, 11 in all, and the number comes with travelers significantly down compared to last year.
