TSA detects gun parts concealed in LEGO box at Newark Liberty International Airport checkpoint

TSA officers say it was a fully dissembled 9mm gun. The gun's magazine was loaded with 12 bullets and the parts were mixed among plastic pieces of a LEGO set.

Police say a man was arrested after TSA officers at Newark Liberty International Airport detected gun parts concealed in a boot and LEGO box.
TSA officers say it was a fully dissembled 9mm gun. The gun's magazine was loaded with 12 bullets and the parts were mixed among plastic pieces of a LEGO set.
Port Authority police arrested the man, who was set to fly to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta Airport.
That man is facing criminal charges and a fine up to $15,000.
