Some attendees of President Donald Trump's Bedminster fundraiser say its not necessary for them to self-quarantine and get tested for coronavirus.
State officials have asked those who attended to get tested and quarantine following Trump's announcement that he tested positive for the virus just hours after the event.
Katherine Hermes, who attended the fundraiser, says Center for Disease and Control guidelines were followed and some attendees work masks.
"The tracing thing to me seems to be an exteme violation," Hermes says. "I was 40 feet away, I was nowhere near him. There's no reason for me to be contacted and there's no reason for me to fear that I have to fear this."
She says that no guest came within 16 feet of President Trump.
A text message was also sent out to parents of nearby Far Hills school district requesting any parents at the golf club over the last 48 hours to keep their children home.
