Trenton police seek assistance identifying 33 liquor store looting suspects

The Trenton Police Department is seeking the public’s help identifying nearly three dozen people accused of looting during a period of civil unrest following the death of George Floyd last year.
Police say that 33 people were observed burglarizing Tony’s Liquor at 105 East Hanover St. on May 31, 2020. The people are accused of stealing liquor bottles and store equipment.
“To date, several arrests have been made regarding the civil unrest that occurred on May 31, 2020 in the City of Trenton,” a spokesperson for the department said in a statement. “Federal law enforcement has also charged several individuals for interfering with law enforcement by destroying police vehicles during that evening.”
Anyone who may have information about the looting should contact Detective Sergeant Christopher Kurfuss at 609-989-4068, Detective Angel Turner at 609-989-4166, or any on-duty CIB Detective at 609-989-4155.
