Trenton police: Fight between pedestrian and driver ends in stabbing

Detectives say the victim, who was walking his dog on Mifflin Street and Bert Avenue, called police at 12:19 a.m. and said a vehicle almost struck him when it jumped the curb.

Police in Trenton say a fight between a pedestrian and a driver resulted in a stabbing early Sunday morning.
Detectives say the victim, who was walking his dog on Mifflin Street and Bert Avenue, called police at 12:19 a.m. and said a vehicle almost struck him when it jumped the curb. The victim then got into an argument with the driver before it turned into a physical altercation.
Authorities say another person arrived on the scene and helped the driver in attacking the victim.
The victim was stabbed in both hands and attempted to get away but both the attackers caught up to victim and continued their assault before fleeing the scene, according to police.
Detectives say the victim was treated for the stab wounds and other injuries.
