An early morning house fire in Trenton left one man dead and four firefighters injured.
Fire officials say that it took about six hours to put out the fire in the home on the 900 block of West State Street. It was a multifamily home.
Trenton Mayor Reed Gusciora says that a man’s body was recovered from the third floor of the home. Other people inside were rescued.
“We had a victim on the second floor and our firefighters were able to get in and remove that victim and get him to the hospital,” says Trenton Fire Chief Anthony Moran.
The firefighters who were hurt are all expected to be OK.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
