While the holidays aren't here quite yet, some festive trees could be seen in downtown Ocean Grove on Sunday.
Three weeping trees in front of the Emporium on Maine Avenue were decorated with 400 lights.
Visitors were asked to write messages of inspiration and hang them on the trees.
Well-wishers were also asked to bring new, unwrapped toys to donate to charity.
Giving Tree of Hope event coordinator and organizer Maureen Keane said the event was a way to bring good feelings to those who may need it during the pandemic.
"In this time, the COVID time, the uncertainty, the fear... we are trying to bring positivity, we're trying to bring hope, peace, love, community, all together, because we all need it. We can't even hug each other right now, so this is our way of giving big hugs to our community," Keane said.
All the donated toys were donated to the Jersey Shore Dream Center in Neptune.
