(AP) - New Jersey Gov. Jon Corzine has chosennorth Jersey state Sen. Loretta Weinberg as his running mate,according to a top Democratic official who is close to thegovernor.
Weinberg, a feisty 74-year-old from Teaneck,gained a reputation for taking on members of her own party.
Weinberg emerged as the top contender after weeks ofdeliberation, said the official, who asked not to be named so asnot to upstage the governor's announcement planned for Saturday.
