More than three years later, new charges are being filed from the Jan. 6, 2021 Capitol riot.
A Toms River man was arrested for misdemeanors of walking through the Capitol. Authorities say they identified Robert Coppotelli after noticing the jacket he was wearing had his company name and phone number on it.
The jacket that was captured in footage displayed "Coppotelli Heavy Equipment Sales & Services, Inc." which is registered with the U.S. Department of Transportation at an address in Toms River, court documents show.
An anonymous tipster informed the FBI in July 2021 of Coppotelli's presence at the Capitol, according to court documents. He was arrested Tuesday in Washington, D.C.
