1 killed, 3 injured in wrong-way crash on Route 1

A Toms River man was killed Thursday afternoon in a crash on the Garden State Parkway in Tinton Falls.

State police said a 57-year-old man was driving south when his SUV struck a guardrail, left the roadway and crashed into a tree.

The driver died as a result of the crash, according to state police.

The crash remains under investigation.
