Toms River man faces sex assault charges involving a minor

The incident occurred in Manchester Township on Sept. 29. A 14-year-old female reported to police that she was sexually assaulted by a unknown man.

A Toms River man is now facing several sexual assault charges in connection to an incident involving a minor.
The incident occurred in Manchester Township on Sept. 29. A 14-year-old female reported to police that she was sexually assaulted by a unknown man.
Officials say the victim had been walking along Route 70 when she got lost. A male, later identified as 46-year-old Keith Hahn, stopped him vehicle and spoke to the victim.
Police say the victim asked Hahn to take her to the animal shelter in Toms River. However, Hahn instead allegedly drove the victim to different area and sexually assaulted her. He than allegedly drove the teen to a Walmart, where she fled the vehicle and ran home.
Detectives conducted search warrants on Hahn’s home and vehicle on Oct. 1. He was taken into custody and transported to Ocean County Jail
An investigation later revealed that Hahn is a registered Megan's Law offender. He faces charges of aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault, aggravated criminal sexual contact, kidnapping, luring and endangering the welfare of a child.
