Commuters in New Jersey say catching the bus along Route 3 gets them into Manhattan faster than traditional stops, and a News 12 test shows the ride may live up to the hype.
This is a follow-up to last week's report highlighting commuters who use unconventional highway bus stops and claim they reach the city in record time.
Reporter Amanda Eustice boarded the 192 express bus near Clifton Commons just before 7 a.m. after finding a legal parking spot. Within two minutes of reaching the stop, the bus arrived.
The ride was smooth and quick, with little traffic on the wet morning. Eustice arrived at Port Authority in New York at about 7:25 a.m., less than 30 minutes after boarding.
The cost of the trip was $7.10, and the bus was not crowded, making the commute reliable and direct despite multiple highway stops.
