Yeah, Isabel. No happy holidays here in LB I, but it is a great spot to be, but I just want to give you a quick uh, vantage point of the flooding that we have here and we talk about low lying poor drainage spots. This is exactly what we're talking about. Ok. So this is as you enter uh Long Beach Island Ship Bottom, you have uh Ron John Surf shop over there. You're coming over 72 over the bridge. You have uh nine Ninth Street and then 10th street is behind us here. All of this under construction. Ok. So James, if you want to pan around and just do like a 360 here if you can. And what I want you to look at is that it's, the ponding is just on the side of the road. Ok. So there's still one lane that is possible. Usually when we come out here and we cover flooding out here, this entire stretch right here you cannot drive through. Ok. Even the main thoroughfare over there, once you get to nine Street and then to Long Branch Boulevard, uh Long Beach Boulevard, it's uh all of it is drivable. It's just on the side. And also I just want you to know too, is that in the water? There's like pieces of debris from construction, from cars. So don't drive through anything that's blocked off. Ok. Because you don't know how deep the water is. Number one, and you don't know what's inside that water as well. So again, flooding has been minor this, by the way at Long Beach. Uh Island is actually high tide just about nine o'clock. Low tide is about 430 in the afternoon. So water, this should be about the peak. All of this water should start to recede. Going throughout the rest of the aft uh morning and into the afternoon, we are trying to stay warm out here. It's actually pretty chilly. It's about 35 degrees. So those temperatures definitely dropped from yesterday, but it's just rain, which is actually clearing up now in Long Beach Island, Lauren de East 12 New Jersey.

Well, Thunderbolt 12 is out finding hard hit areas during the storm. Yeah, our Lauren do. She has been making her way near the shore, Lauren. Where are you now? And do you see any flooding there? So, Simon de we made our way to the northernmost part of LB I So right at Barnet Light. And what I could tell you is that the flooding, of course, when you come in where there's construction, we showed you the flooding there, but it's drivable. Ok. Usually during the storms, we can't even make our way through with Thunderbolt 12. Today we were and I want to show you where we are right now. This is Barnegat Light. So, uh James is the uh the cameraman today and you could see the, the Barnegat Bay right here looking across the way is uh Island Beach State Park. And also we can pan up to the, the, the lighthouse too. That's the newly renovated lighthouse that just opened up in June and it was actually closed down for extensive renovations for about a year or so. So that's where we are this morning again. The, the flooding has not been terrible. James can kind of pan down to the puddles that we've been noticing. This is at high tide by the way too. So usually, uh, we would definitely see a lot more water on the road walking through. Those puddles are probably about, uh, uh, you know, up to your ankles or so, we still have rain boots on, but you could just see how windy it is. Look at the, the wind just kind of dance across that puddle there. So, temperature in Long Beach Island right now it's 37 degrees. The winds have been sustained actually about 25 miles an hour here and they have been gusting up around 30. So you get the idea. It's pretty windy and chilly outside. This is the time of the year where you don't like to be at the shore. But again, the flooding has not been that bad, still an issue in spots this morning. So make sure you do. Just be careful and again, don't drive through any water because you definitely don't know how deep it is. All right. So just be careful out there. We are in Barnegat Light in LB I.

Thunderbolt 12 is out finding hard hit areas during the storm. Now, our law and do is outside of Thunderbolt 12 now in LA, LA and Lauren. How's it looking in LA that? How was the drive there? Well, you know what Simon D 35 was, was fine. Ok. There was no flooding. We went through Bay Head but right on Bridge Street by Muller that usually floods was not flooded. Good to go there. 35 making our way into Lavalette by the wall wall also not flooded, but it is very chilly. This rain, it is 39 degrees. The winds are sustained at 20 they're gusting up around 25 miles an hour. So James, I just want you to pan over to, to the waves because this is uh some pretty rough surf out here. So surf line, I just checked for all the surfers out there. The waves in Lavalette, not great. Uh For surfing, they're about 4 to 6 ft but actually dry. You were talking about casino here in seaside heights. Those waves are actually 6 to 8 ft in surf line saying uh fair conditions for surfers out there. Obviously, it's very cold, very dark outside right now. But you could just see how rough and how angry the seas are this morning. Earlier, Thunderbolt 12 was actually down in Asbury Park. We went to Lake Ave. That was where the uh Asbury Park Beer Garden is. Remember we first showed you that video of water rushing into the uh basement there. That area was fine. We also made our way uh right through all of the shore really in point pleasant was actually fine too. So no concerns for you at the shore, but you could just see if you are gonna be outside. Um It is very uncomfortable. It's very windy, very uh rain. It's that windswept rain. We're getting sandblasted out here as well. I do wanna let you know that Ocean County Sheriff actually just posted on their social media that there are some flooded roads on the barrier island. We have yet to see any here making our way from point Pleasant down to Lavalette. But where I'm sure there is flooding is actually gonna be in LB I Long Beach Island where the tide is actually rising. By the way, this is low tide for the areas here. Well, continuing with our team coverage. Let's check in now with news 12 Lauren do. Now, she's traveling the roads right now looking for any hazards on this stormy stormy morning. Right now, Lauren, you're as very park. How is it looking? Yeah, good morning Ds. So the reason why we chose as very Park, remember we showed you that devastating flooding back in, I think it was late September, September 29 to be exact. So we're crossing over 71 right now and eventually we're going to be on Lake Drive. Now, Lake Drive is where the Beer Garden is that saw the devastating flooding and we actually showed you video on news 12 of water rushing, pouring into the basement of the As Park Beer Garden. Now, that same flood caused the popular music venue, the House of Independence to close for good. It was open for about eight years. So as we're stopped at a, at a red light here, I'll just give you some background. Um We haven't heard anything from Asbury Park Beer Garden since they closed two last time we talked to them. Actually, Isabel was out there talking to the owners there and they said they hope to reopen for the winter fest. The light of day, winter fest actually runs through almost all of January. So we'll see what happens. But as you could see, as we, we try to make our way down Lake A here, it doesn't look like we've seen that devastating flooding. So this is definitely some good news for those business owners here on Lake Avenue. Farther south in Ocean County, that area is under a flood warning until about 730. So, ok, that is where we're going to be making our way down to LB I by at least 6 a.m. because that is when high tide is expected at the Barnegat Bay back bay, flooding will be an issue as it always is minor flood stage is expected. So when you take 72 over, you know, to Ninth Street, Eighth Street, they usually see flooding by the Ron John Surf shop in the Bayside roads too. That's what we expect to be by six o'clock in the morning. So we'll be driving around the shore here finally making your way in thunderbolt 12 here. So it's it over north to Isabel liters and it looks like a squall line is actually going to be coming through. So you could be getting hit with some heavy rain.
