A threat was made to Benjamin Franklin Middle School in Teaneck, according to police.
Police arranged to have an increased presence of law enforcement personnel around the school Friday due to the nature of the threat and out of an abundance of caution.
“The Teaneck Police Department takes the safety of its schools very seriously,” said Police Chief Andrew McGurr. “All threats will be thoroughly investigated, and steps will be taken towards ensuring the safety of the educational environment in Teaneck.”
Specifics of the threat made against the school are unclear at this time.
