Residents in Jersey City dealt with a water main break Tuesday.Officials say the break occurred around 4:15 a.m at the intersection of 18th and Washington streets. The break affected those living or working in the 20-block area surrounding the intersection. According to officials, between 40,000 and 50,000 people were affected.United Water has issued a boil advisory until at least 48 hours after the necessary repairs are made. According to officials, crews will spend most of the day working on the repairs.Residents are being asked to conserve water until service is totally restored.
