Cape May County is seeing a slower start to the season, with bookings down 3 to 5% for July and August, according to the county’s tourism director Diane Wieland.
Wieland says many travelers are waiting longer to book, but next week’s 100-degree temperatures could push more to make reservations.
The Wildwoods, Ocean City and local campgrounds are all reporting slower activity, though visits are starting to spread throughout the county.
