New Jersey’s biggest music festival, Sea.Hear.Now, wrapped Sunday night with a Jersey Shore homecoming for “The Boss” - Bruce Springsteen.
Attendees were in their "glory days."
“This is major bucket list for me,” said Margot, of Tucson, Arizona.
Another family of Springsteen fans came all the way from the United Kingdom.
Nailing the customer experience was critical. Heading into day two, all accounts were smooth sailing.
“I don't have any bad things to say,” said one attendee.
“People in Asbury Park couldn't be better,” said Robert, of Union. “It's everything I expected, and then some.”
“One big improvement was how they set up these different screens on the beach, and the speakers,” said David, of Asbury Park. “They made things sound a lot better, and it’s a lot more accessible to a lot more people.”
That was music to the ears of the tens of thousands inside, and the dozens who took to the beach to hear what they could for free.
“The crowd control was amazing,” said Tyler, of Wall Township. “ For it to finally be dispersed, a little easier to get on and get off, that was huge.”
“Parking was surprisingly easy,” said Margot.
“We took an Uber and were able to come right up here,” said Melissa, of Manasquan.
“The only thing - I couldn't find food a lot,” said Robert. “The drinks were really easy to find.”
Gate attendants were their busiest before Sunday night’s headlining show from Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band.
“Having Bruce here means everything,” said David. “Bruce is Asbury Park, as far as we take it. He really put us on the map.”
Before his three-hour headlining set, “The Boss” treated his fans to a guest appearance at The Stone Pony Saturday night and joined The Gaslight Anthem and Trey Anastasio onstage on Sunday.
