Record-breaking warm temperatures will come to an end this weekend with a bit of a cooldown.
Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Michele Powers says that Newark broke another temperature record on Friday. The record was previously 88 degrees. Newark Liberty International Airport hit 92 degrees.
OVERNIGHT: Mainly cloudy overnight but dry. Temperatures fall to the low- to mid-60s.
SATURDAY: Scattered rain showers with the risk of some thunderstorms. Daytime highs around 68 degrees. Overnight lows around 56.
SUNDAY: Mostly cloudy. Daytime highs cool in the low-60s. Overnight lows around 52.
MONDAY: Another chance for some rain – this time more widespread. Daytime highs around 68 degrees. Overnight lows around 51.
TUESDAY: most clouds with temperatures even cooler in the upper-50s. Overnight lows dip to the low-40s.
WEDNESDAY: Sunshine returns. Temperatures remain cooler in the low-60s. Overnight lows around 45.
