A teenager in Hackensack was stabbed Monday afternoon near Banta Place and State Street.

Police arrived around 3 p.m. and found the 16‑year‑old with stab wounds.

The victim was taken to a hospital and is in stable condition, according to police.

The teen told officers a group was involved and then ran off.
