Vincent Battiloro, accused of killing two Cranford High School seniors in a deadly hit-and-run, is expected to appear at the Union County Courthouse for an arraignment.

Battiloro is charged with two counts of first-degree murder in connection with the deaths of Maria Niotis and Isabella Salas, both 17-years-old.

Prosecutors say he intentionally drove his Jeep into the girls as they rode an e-bike on Burnside Avenue in Cranford last September, killing both teenagers.

Battiloro was also 17 at the time of the incident. He has since turned 18 and is being prosecuted as an adult, leaving him subject to potentially more severe penalties if convicted.

News 12 New Jersey will have a crew inside the Union County Courthouse and will provide updates as the court proceedings unfold.
