Teen charged after shotgun displayed during North Wildwood dispute

An 18-year-old Pennsylvania man is facing weapons charges after allegedly displaying a shotgun during an argument in North Wildwood on Saturday.

Police were called to Surf Avenue after reports of a verbal dispute involving a firearm. According to investigators, Noah Linderman, 18, of Swarthmore, Pennsylvania, retrieved a shotgun from a vehicle and displayed it to a group of people involved in the altercation.

Witnesses told police that Linderman placed the shotgun back inside the vehicle before officers arrived. Other people at the scene then restrained him until police took him into custody.

Detectives later obtained a search warrant for the vehicle, where they recovered an Ithaca Model 37 shotgun and ammunition.

Linderman was charged with possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and unlawful possession of a weapon.
