Several law enforcement agencies raided the Stephen Crane Village Development on Franklin Avenue early Monday as part of a yearlong investigation into drug dealers and gang members.
"Operation Four Seasons" involved Newark police, the U.S. Marshal's Office and FBI and DEA officials. The task force served arrest warrants throughout the village and confiscated several weapons.
"Today's goal is really to take back a portion of the city that really has fallen into bad hands," says John McCabe, of the New Jersey DEA.
