A tanker-truck fire along the New Jersey Turnpike Monday morning caused major traffic delays.
New Jersey State Police says that the truck overturned near Exit 16W and Route 3 in East Rutherford and burst into flames. Thick, black smoke and bright flames could be seen for miles away.
The exit was closed for several hours while the crash was cleaned up, but has since reopened.
The cause of the crash was not immediately known. The truck driver was not hurt.
