(AP) - Police say an Irvington man wanted by police in a shooting that wounded a 10-year-old girl playing on herfront porch has turned himself in.
Twenty-six-year-old Davion Jackson surrendered Wednesday,accompanied by his parole officer and his lawyer.
Police say Jackson fired the gunshot that hit Qualiyah Davis inthe stomach as she was playing outside her home on Sundayafternoon.
He is charged with aggravated assault and weapons offenses. Bailwas set at $500,000.
Jackson's lawyer, Joseph A. Ferrante, said Thursday that hisclient was an innocent bystander to a shooting perpetrated byothers and was falsely implicated by a neighbor.
