Doorbell camera video has been released showing an attempted home break-in that ended with the homeowner shooting at the intruder in Roseland.
Roseland police say that a burglar broke into a home on Lasalle Court around 3 a.m. Monday and made his way to the home’s mudroom. He was looking for a key fob, according to police.
Police say the intruder and the homeowner met face to face and that’s when the homeowner grabbed his gun and fired a shot at the intruder, who ran off.
Police say that the gun was legally registered to the homeowner.
No injuries were reported.
Anyone who might have information about the break-in is urged to call police.
