The winning bid for the Surflight Theater in Beach Haven has been rejected by a bankruptcy trustee.
The $2 million winning bid by Greg Russo of West Orange was apparently not high enough, according to the managing partner for Auction Advisors.
The Surflight Theater and Show Place singing ice cream parlor filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in February and was $3.5 million in debt.
According to Auction Advisors, the bankruptcy trustee is keeping all options open on the property.
No information has been released about what the next steps may be.
