Hoboken residents who pay for water service will be getting some money back following a boil water advisory caused by damage from Ida.
The city announced that the company will issue a seven-day credit. That credit will be reflected on customers’ upcoming water bills.
Hoboken Mayor Ravi Bhalla says that the city is also working with SUEZ to improve communication with customers during any future emergencies.
Service was interrupted for several days after flooding from Ida’s remnants caused damage to an aqueduct in Cedar Grove. The advisory has since been lifted in Hoboken and Jersey City.
Another boil water advisory remains in place for Passaic, Paterson and parts of Clifton and Woodland Park.
