Students at Hannah Caldwell Elementary School in Union Township had a field day on Wednesday and will have a second field day on Thursday as their school gets cleared of mold.

Administrators chose to have two half days instead of busing students to other schools. The students will spend the entire time outside at a park while the cleanup is ongoing.

Students have not been in class since last Thursday. This comes after mold was found in the school library and two classrooms.

But parents say that they are frustrated that they won’t know when their children will return to school.

“They aren’t saying anything, not yet. They said maybe two weeks. I don’t know,” says mother Ada Villacis.

There will be no school on Friday due to the Diwali holiday. It was not clear where the students will be on Monday.
