Derek Jeter’s Yankees jersey from debut sells for $369K at auction

The most expensive baseball jersey in the modern era sold at an auction Monday for $369,000, and it belonged to Pequannock native Derek Jeter.
The jersey was from his debut with the Yankees back in May of 1995. Jeter continued to wear the jersey for the remainder of the season, which included 15 games.
It was the uniform he wore when he hit his first run, double, and triple.
Jeter, who goes into the Hall of Fame in the summer, also signed it.
