A toddler was fatally struck by a tree branch Saturday at a campground in Salem County, according to state police.
It happened shortly after 2 p.m. at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Campground at Tall Pines in Elmer.
The 3-year-old girl was struck by the branch while inside of a tent at the campground, police say.
She was taken to Inspira Medical Center Elmer, where she was pronounced dead.
No other injuries were reported.
Police say there is no criminality suspected at this time.
It happened on a day when strong storms were moving across New Jersey, but it's unclear what caused the branch to strike the child.
