Rain is on the way out as we finish out July in the Hudson Valley
The new month approaches and so do improving weather for all to enjoy! But Friday won't quite feel like August.

Heavy rain has come and gone in the Hudson Valley, ahead of schedule. The flood watch, that was supposed to be up until Friday at 8 a.m. has been removed as the storm system pulls away.
Rain showers are still lingering throughout the region overnight, but we are not seeing the torrential downpours some spots saw earlier Thursday.
Breezy winds and scattered showers will be possible overnight into Friday morning, setting us up for a dreary start to August.
The new month will bring about some delightful changes, after we get passed August 1 though. A breezy and cool, very unseasonal day will be coming our way with temps running below the average high of 83 degrees.
Many locations will be stuck in the mid-70s. That is a decent drop from normal levels and a drastic drop from where we were a few days ago, when there was a heatwave in the region and temps were breaking records.
Saturday is going to be simply lovely and is the Pick Of The Week! Temps will be in the upper 70s to low 80s, there will be comfortable levels of humidity as well as barely a cloud in the sky and light and pleasant breeze.
What more could we ask for? Whelp, how about an encore for Sunday?
Sunday has seasonal temps, a few more clouds, a touch more humidity and a mild breeze. So it is close to POTW criteria but I'll have to go with Saturday for the winner.
Next week sees temps in the low to mid-80s with mostly sunny skies. Outside of a rain chance on Thursday, the week looks very nice for all to enjoy!
