Winter storm leaves behind icy conditions in New Jersey

A few snow, sleet and freezing rain showers around this morning, so there will be icy spots. Parts of Northern Jersey did accumulate a couple of inches of snow overnight. Some sunshine will be coming through the afternoon. Watch out for icy spots tonight as temperatures drop into the teens.
Sunday starts off very cold, but temperatures will climb above freezing through the day under mostly cloudy skies. Some rain will move though later Sunday and into Monday. There is a potential for some icing at the start for Northern Jersey. Otherwise, rain showers on Monday and turning mild.
Then colder, breezy conditions return early next week before a quieter stretch heading into the New Year. A few flurries cannot be ruled out.
Today: Snow and ice end early, then mostly cloudy. Chilly with highs in the low-to-mid 30s and lingering slick spots.
Sunday: Mostly cloudy with rain developing later in the day. Milder, with highs around 40.
Monday: Periods of rain. Highs climb into the upper 40s to low 50s.
Tuesday: Turning colder and breezy with some sunshine. Highs in the mid-30s.
Wednesday: Partly sunny and cold, highs in the mid-30s.
New Year’s Day: Quiet and chilly with sunshine. Highs in the low-to-mid 30s.
Friday: Most sunny and cold, highs in the upper 20s.
