New Jersey is expected to see heavy rain with the potential for coastal flooding during the overnight hours.
Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Dave Curren says that winds could reach up to 55 mph overnight.
WHAT’S NEXT: Rain starts by Friday evening but becomes heavy around 10 p.m. Stormier weather is expected sometime after midnight, with potential for thunderstorms, gusty winds and coastal flooding. Some areas of northern New Jersey could see some wintry weather. Curren says that there should not be too much of an accumulation. Overnight lows around 35 degrees.
SATURDAY: Rain lasts into the early morning hours. Breezy and partly sunny for the rest of the day. Daytime highs around 48 degrees. Overnight lows around 39.
SUNDAY: Mostly sunny with daytime highs around 51 degrees. Overnight lows around 33.
MONDAY: Plenty of sunshine with daytime highs around 52 degrees. Overnight lows around 34.
TUESDAY: Some more rain is expected to return. Temperatures remain mild in the low-50s. Overnight lows around 29.
COMING UP: Some sun for half of the upcoming week. Snow has the potential to return by next weekend.
