A developing storm in the Midwest is delivering a menu of all kinds of weather for us in New Jersey. Clouds are already collecting - and it won’t be long before rain is being served up.
At the onset, very early tomorrow morning, it’s possible that snow could mix in with the rain in areas above 900 feet. I do not anticipate accumulations of any kind. But if you are up early enough it’s possible to see chunky wet snowflakes splatting against the window or car windshields.
Winter weather advisories have been issued for the interior of Pennsylvania and upstate New York where a modest 3 – 6 inches of snow could collect. For us in New Jersey, it will eventually turn to all rain through the morning into the afternoon.
After 3 p.m., the kitchen closes its door on the rain. Our storm travels off the New Jersey beaches taking the rain with it.
Behind this weather system is much colder air on gusty winds from the Great Lakes. The end of November and the beginning of December will actually feel more like early January.
