Many New Jersey residents woke up Monday morning to damage caused by intense winds that occurred Sunday night.
In Paramus, homeowners
on Hobart
Road had a very large tree come crashing down on the front of
their home. The husband was downstairs at the time, but he was not hurt. The inside of the home was also undamaged.
“There’s
a branch broken on the window, so it didn’t go through the window,” says Rose
Latawiec.
The
tree crushed part of the roof and gutter, as Sunday night’s storm was fast and
furious.
“A
lot of rain real quickly, then it stopped, but then we heard the wind,” says Rich
Siu.
Just
across the street, a large pine tree was snapped in half.
“The
whole thing was over in just a couple of minutes, but you know it was really
intense,” says Rachel Shacher. “My kids were a little nervous.”
There
were no injuries to report.
