Gov. Phil Murphy says that state officials will be taking action against 10 bars and restaurants who have violated COVID-19 safety guidelines.
Those bars and restaurants are could face anywhere from 10-115 day suspensions of their liquor licenses for violating the governor’s executive orders.
“We will not tolerate knucklehead behavior and we will not hesitate to shut you down,” Murphy said. “And to all the restauranteurs out there who are doing the right thing, we thank you, we appreciate you and we urge residents to pay you a visit.”
The governor said that he hopes that the suspensions ensure better compliance with his executive orders as cases of COVID-19 rise around New Jersey.
